Stay Low to Lead High

April 24, 2026

Stay Low.

Leadership is not defined by how high you can rise. Instead, it is revealed by how low you’re willing to go.

Not low in worth or strength—but low in posture.

In leadership, low means being humble, submitted, and governed. It’s being willing to be corrected, teachable, and open to yield when your instincts say push.

That’s where real leadership resides. It’s the place that keeps power from becoming pride, influence from becoming identity, and excitement from becoming exhaustion.

If you lose that stance, you compromise the very principles that sustain your leadership.

The leaders who last are the ones who never outgrow humility.

With grace,
Wendy Rice
